Easy Weight Loss Tips:

olive oil for weight loss?

#6 Unhealthy Fat is your Enemy:

Switch to healthy monounsaturated fats and avoid saturated and trans fats whenever possible. Healthy dietary fat will help regulate your heart rate, blood pressure, blood clotting, nervous system, and blood vessel constriction. (Flat Belly Diet, 2008). In contrast, eating large quantities of “bad fats” can have dire health consequences.

#7 Reward Yourself for a Job Well Done:

Keep your motivation in check by rewarding yourself frequently along your weight loss journey. Non-food items are best.~plan movie night with a friend
~buy a new pair of shoes and/or sneakers
~splurge on a pedicure/manicure

~indulge yourself with a massage (one of my favorite ways to spoil myself)
~relax and get a facial
~buy and read a motivational book
~sign up for a class you have always wanted to try…maybe yoga?
~plan to attend a special event (theater, concert, show etc..)
~pick up a new bottle of nail polish or makeupr
~send yourself flowers
~go to a book store and find a perfect recipe book and whip up a few new healthy meals

#8 Eat Flat Belly Foods:

Eat flat belly foods every single day!

#9 Understand your Daily Calorie Needs:

When determining how many calories a person should consume on a daily basis, age, sex, and physical activity levels need to be taken into consideration.

For example, according to the USDA, a sedentary woman aged 31-50 years old should consume 1,800 calories daily, whereas an active woman should take in 2,200 calories. Remember, these are estimated numbers for weight maintenance.

If you want to lose weight, slightly lower your calorie intake, and increase your daily exercise. Do not severely cut back on your daily calorie intake, instead cut back slowly to make sure your body is getting the nutrition it needs.

#10 “Lean” Towards Healthier Meat Choices:

When choosing meat, pick the leanest cuts available. Trim off visible fat, drain off fat that occurs during the cooking process, and buy skinless chicken or skin the poultry yourself before cooking. Think…broil, poach, roast, boil instead of frying.
